Alpha Kappa Alpha
Celebrates 100 Years
Founded on the campus of Howard University in
Washington, DC in 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority
is the oldest Greek-letter organization established
by African American college-trained women. To trace
its history is to tell a story of changing patterns
of human relations in America in the 20th century.

Dallas TX April 25th - 27th
The 2008 AAUW Texas Convention marks a major milestone in AAUW history: the 100th anniversary of AAUW in Texas and the birth of the Dallas Branch. The
Dallas Interbranch Council of 16 Presidents and the state officers are planning programs to make this a meaningful and memorable occasion. |

Legal Advocacy Fund Celebrates
25 Years of Progress
The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund is
the nation's largest legal fund focused solely
on sex discrimination in higher education. Since
1981 the AAUW has helped students, faculty,
staff, and administrators challenge
discriminatory practices.
