What is AAUW Texas Online Branch?
The AAUW Texas Membership and Communications committees
are working to form an online branch similar to the California
Online Branch.
Its purpose is to reach AAUW members and people interested in furthering
AAUW's goals who may be too busy or too distant to attend regular branch
meetings. The online format can give MALs a forum to interact with other
like-minded people and to learn about and discuss issues which interest
and affect women in Texas.
Help Shape Our Branch Bylaws
Special branch bylaws for the Online Branch are under
construction with Pam
Wolfe, the AAUW Texas bylaws officer and parliamentarian. If you
have suggestions for elements to include (or exclude), please send her
an e-mail.
Contact Us
If you think you might want to participate, please send an e-mail
with your name, current branch (if any), and another way to contact
you, such as phone number or address, to aauwtxonline@.
You might also indicate your preference for a chat room type meeting
at a set time, a blog discussion on multiple topics (check out our
President's
Blog), or a listserv round robin e-mail set up. The online
branch could use any or all of these modes at different times. We
will stay in touch.
