Transportation Grant Application for 2012 EYH Event

Up to $1000 is available for the actual cost of the bus.

Note:

  • There is a firm deadline of February 6, 2012. However, grant funding will close when the budgeted amount has been reached.
  • Paid application forms for attending the 2012 EYH event for at least 20 girls must accompany this application.
  • You must submit an estimated cost of transportation either on school or organization letterhead.
  • An actual cost receipt must be submitted on/after March 3, 2012 before you will receive the grant.

With budget cutbacks affecting schools, the West Harris County Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is providing a limited number of transportation grants to help schools and Girl Scout troops send students to its Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) program Saturday, March 3. Costs up to $1000 are available.  Registration may be combined with other schools/organizations to meet the 20-girl minimum requirement.  By applying, you agree that money received will be used toward transportation to and from Northbrook Middle School on March 3, 2012 and that you retain full responsibility for the safety of the students and adults who accompany them.

As noted above, each application for the transportation grant must be accompanied by applications for at least 20 students to attend the EYH workshops and by payments of $6 for each student and adult attending the workshops outlined in the 2012 EYH brochure.

The February 6 deadline is firm; only packets received by that date or sooner will be considered.  Notice of acceptance or regrets will be sent by e‐mail.  Please complete the form on the following page or download a copy and  mail to the following address:
